There are many things your midwife will prepare you for regarding your birth at home, however, sometimes some basic - but major - things get overlooked and become a hassle later. In this workshop you will be presented with a better understanding of what a home birth will look like in your environment. Together we will discover ways to make this journey into postpartum a graceful one.
These are just some of the questions we will seek to answer:
What does home birth look like & how can we best prepare?
What should I learn about my midwife's style/what can I expect from her?
When do we call our birth team in?
What tools can help my partner and I know how to do to cope with labor before our team arrives?
What can we expect directly following the birth up to the following weeks?
What factors facilitate an easier adjustment after the birth?
How to prepare the support team to be able to care for mom and baby?
