Juliea is very easy to feel comfortable with and open up to. She's that girl you met an hour ago but you're suddenly telling your life story to and wondering why she's not trying to run the other way. Her honesty, openness and her own vulnerability makes her easy to approach and trust, while her candidness and sense of humor make her a lot of fun to be around.
The passion that she has to make a change in the world and how much of herself she puts into what she believes in is naturally contagious and inspiring. She tends to make people want to be their best selves, and, is more than willing to help them accomplish this.

Juliea is a skilled and knowledgeable doula with many years of experience. She works intuitively based on the parents changing needs. There is no agenda or intention other than to help the parents tap into their own wisdom and provide support to the family in whatever way serves them best.
Motivation To Become A Doula:
As a foster kid turned teen mom, her journey into parenthood was met with a lot of emotional boundaries and trauma. She realized that if she did not change herself and fully face becoming a mother she would likely continue a cycle of abuse rooted deeply within her family. The journey of parenting gave her the motivation she needed to push through and create a new story for the future and provide some healing for the past. She learned much about her body, her voice, her choices and the impact they had on herself and her children through being pregnant and giving birth. It was like a "fresh start" - an opportunity to become better. She recognized that if we could help others connect and heal in the same way, we could collectively contribute to a better mankind. So, she put her talk into her walk and committed her life and career to supporting and inspiring women.
People are more than capable of making good choices for themselves and their bodies when they are better informed and supported. And, when they do, it empowers not only that family, but, an entire generation. When given the opportunity, birth can provide women the space to find their strength, their voice, and their self-trust. And, when we empower partners with the opportunity to bear witness to this, and even be an active part of it - it can be life changing.
The energy we birth our babies into and where we begin our journey as parents ripples throughout a lifetime. Juliea enjoys helping mothers approach birth with love more than fear. To help her give her body - and her baby - the benefit of the doubt and create space for mothers to surprise themselves. Through this we can create healthier outcomes and more satisfying experiences for families to start on. And, that's what it's all about!
