Certified Postpartum Doula

Personality:
Alyssa is a patient person with a gift for listening. Honesty, reliability, and trust are top priority. She has the ability to meet people where they are in life, truly understanding them, and providing the exact support they need.

She is driven by a strong work ethic; a desire to achieve to her highest potential, and an insatiable thirst for knowledge.

Type of Doula:
Alyssa was born a nurturer. This shows in her care and support for families during the postpartum period. She provides nonjudgmental support knowing that the needs of every family are different from day to day. Her work as a doula is fluid; ever changing based on the individual needs of each baby, mother, partner, and family.

Alyssa's Philosophy:
Being a parent is demanding, but it shouldn’t be damaging. So often the birth of a new child pushes a mother to new limits, makes a father question his abilities or worth, and tests the whole family’s strength. Our physical and metal states play a major role in our ability to cope and survive, yet it’s almost always overlooked. Although the baby is an important part of the new family, the mother herself cannot be neglected. Alyssa believes that a postpartum doula’s support is critical to creating an environment that will nurture, support, and love the mother and family unit throughout the entire process.
